What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is an exciting and innovative treatment for hydrating, firming and remodelling ageing and lax skin. This revolutionary injectable product uses hyaluronic acid to moisturise and hydrate the skin, providing younger, smoother, plumper skin.
Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found within the body and has been proven to enhance people’s appearance with safe injectable procedures when carried out by a professional. The product is injected into the skin to stimulate collagen renewal and attract water in the deep layers of the skin.
Everybody can benefit from Profhilo, regardless of age, gender or skin type. It is not a “skin booster” like other products, instead providing significant tissue improvement; it is in a class of its own—a real game-changer within the aesthetics industry.
Our Bolton skin clinic offers Profhilo treatment to clients across Greater Manchester. Contact us today to arrange a free consultation with our specialists.
What's our process?
Before Treatment
- Before you undergo Profhilo treatment, you should book a face-to-face consultation with our experienced practitioner.
- The consultation will assess your suitability for the procedure, examining your medical history and goals to ensure it’s appropriate.
- We highly recommend asking any questions or expressing concerns you may have before proceeding.
- The practitioner will let you know what to expect on the day of the procedure and explain the treatment process.
- We will let you know help to prepare for your appointment, which can often include avoiding alcohol and specific medications or supplements. Blood-thinning and anti-inflammatory medicines, such as aspirin, are usually best avoided to minimise the risk of bruising.
- Before your session, drink plenty of water to keep your body hydrated and eat a light meal.
During Treatment
- On the day of your Profhilo procedure, we recommend visiting the clinic with a clean face and not wearing makeup.
- Profhilo is usually a painless experience, and anaesthesia won’t be necessary, meaning there is no downtime, and you can go home straight after the procedure.
- It will typically be minimal if you experience any discomfort during the treatment. At most, you might feel a slightly uncomfortable sensation or a sting.
- The practitioner will inject the Profhilo into the treatment area.
- You can expect the procedure to last up to about 30 minutes.
- The number of sessions you need may vary, but it could be up to three.
After Treatment
- After you have received your Profhilo injections, the practitioner will provide you with aftercare instructions.
- We usually advise avoiding physical exercise, swimming and cosmetic procedures for 24-48 hours. It is best to stay out of direct sunlight and don’t take hot showers or baths for several days.
- There is no downtime with Profhilo, and you can expect a recovery within hours.
- It is common to experience minor side effects following treatment, including redness, swelling and bruising. These side effects typically should only last for a few days.
- You will see the full results of your treatment within 6-8 weeks. The effects will last for around 6 months.
